I have been out of pocket for a while. Life sometimes has different plans than we do. I'm going to try to catch up a little and share some Christmas projects I've been working on.
Today I want to share these cute "floating" ornaments I made. I first seen this idea at The Sewer, The Caker, The Copycat Maker. The possibilities are endless. We recently took a trip to see my family in Louisiana. I made several for family and friends there. I have a picture posted at the bottom of this post. It's not a great one, but you can see the idea. I do have a tutorial in the works and will post it as soon as I finish. I really wanted to share these before it's done though.
Supplies:
Candy Cane Digital Papers
Dear Santa Elements
Projector sheets
glass bulbs
assorted ribbons
printer
Silhouette Cameo with Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software
Used the "print and cut" feature.
Hope you enjoy and hope everyone is having fun getting ready for Christmas. I plan to work on Christmas gifts this weekend. Wish me luck!!
I love homemade ornaments! Thanks for linking this to Less Laundry, More Linking party!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy. They were so fun to make.
ReplyDeleteHi new to this... how would i put a photo inside of the ornament? thanks
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, sorry I'm just now responding. I just have seen the notification. I printed the image on acetate (transparency), backed it with vinyl and then simply roll it up and stick it in the ornament. I done a tutorial that you can view here...http://tanyascreativespace.blogspot.com/2013/12/christmas-floating-ornament.html. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to help...:)
