Hugs and Kisses

Okay, so I can't believe that I totally skipped over Christmas (and New Years) and I'm posting Valentine's Day stuff.   Christmas is a blur.  It came so fast and went just as fast.  The one thing I remember about Christmas is that both our boys were home and that was all that mattered.   I thought about a New Year's resolutions, but never actually made one.   I'm not great at keeping them anyway.

So here we are....in less than a month is Valentine's Day.  If I had made that dreaded New Year's resolution (we all know which one I'm talking about) it would be blown on Valentine's Day.  I mean you can't not enjoy that lovely box of chocolates.  After all, you wouldn't want to upset anyone.

Here are a few ideas I want to share with you.  I used the print and cut method with my silhouette cameo and the digital scrapbook kit from Peppermint Creative called My Guy.

Here is a look at the kit I used.  There is so much you can do with this kit.

The boxes were purchased from the Silhouette online store.

It's Been A While.......

I've been MIA lately.  Without going into the details, life has been a little nuts lately.  Summer, family, work, etc. etc.   I know that is not a excuse, but that is what has been happening.

One of the fun things I got to do lately was work with this fun digital scrapbook kit called Party Pants from Peppermint Creative.    I really love the fun colors in this set.  The balloons, the cake, presents....just so much fun party stuff.

http://www.peppermintcreative.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=133_1&products_id=2830

Here are a couple of hybrid crafts that I made with this kit and my Silhouette Cameo.  The first one is one of my favorite cards.  It is made with the balloons and the Celebration word art.

I made a card base 4 x 5 and enlarged the balloons to where they were "off" the sides of the card.  I also printed an extra copy and cut around some of the balloons and layered them to add dimension.  I used black twine and tied it around a few of the balloons.

Here is another card using the birthday cake.

One of my favorite things to do with my Cameo is Print and Cuts.
For this print and cut, I cut out several extra pieces and adhered to the base of the card with pop dots
 to give dimension.

And last but not least, is a cute little box that I made with the paper from the Party Pants kit.

Hope that these hybrid projects inspire you to take out your favorite digital kit and make something fun.

Have a GREAT week!

A Couple of Digital Scrapbook Pages

Here are a few Digi Scrapbook Pages I'v been working on.  I first learned about Digital Scrapbooking because I literally didn't have anywhere to put all my traditional scrapbook supplies.

I live in a very small home, with very little space.  When I would decide to scrap, it would take me a while to gather it all up from closets, kitchen cabinets (yes...I said kitchen cabinets), under the bed, etc.  I would stick it anywhere I could find a spot.  By the time I would gather it up and pop a movie in for the boys, it would be time for lunch.  By the time I cleaned that up, played with them and maybe squeeze a page in, it was time for dinner.  Of course the table would be covered and I would have to push it off to the side.   One day I just decided it was just way to messy and time consuming, not to mention could get VERY expensive....I put it away.

After many months going by doing no crafting or scrapbooking at all, I had to find something that I enjoyed.  One day it hit me....With all the technology out there,  I just knew there had to be something out there that I could enjoy and that wouldn't take very much space.   decided to sit down and do some surfing.  Not only did I find out about Digital Scrapbooking, I also found out how to crochet, blog and later hybrid crafting and scrapbooking.

Now my boys are grown and I have been working on turning my oldest son's room into a craft room.   Even though, I have never really gotten back into traditional scrapbooking, I have decided to start making some more digital pages.

So here ya go!  My layouts.  I do have a few things to learn about, like the Washi Tape looking more realistic and things like that.  But overall, I really enjoyed doing these pages and much more to learn.  Thanks to all Miss Mint and all the girls at Peppermint Creative.

This one I just done last night.  It's of my oldest son, Chris and his newest puppy, Clyde.  He's a Piebald Longhaired dachshund.  Oh my goodness is he spoiled.  I have never seen a dog so attached to someone as this little guy is.  One of the other dogs in the picture is Sadie. He bought and he left her with me for a while. (He's a welder and travels) Well now she is mine.  I'm totally in love with her. (Yeah, I can't believe it either)  She is a pit bull and is the sweetest dog ever.

This page is of my youngest son, Chance and his sweet girlfriend, Schyler.  They are sooo cute together.  I hope to have more pages soon because Prom is almost here.  I'm trying hard not to think much about it because it is his Senior year and the last to leave the nest.  This make me very sad.

I used Photoshop Elements 10 (I want the newest version) and all digital kits from Peppermint Creative.

Hope you enjoyed them and if you have any questions, please feel free to email or message me.

Hippity Hoppity....

Easter is on its way!!  I just finished this fun Easter treat.  I'm suppose to be working on taxes, but who wants to do that?!?  It was sleeting like crazy earlier and now it's snowing again.  I'm not a fan of the cold at all.....  So I'm going to grab a cup of coffee and blog.

These are very fun and easy to make.

I made a simple tag in the Silhouette Studio Designer Edition.  To do all the embellishing I used paper and digital elements from the Speckled Egg Kit- Brights from Peppermint Creative.

I used the print and cut feature.

Add pop dots for dimension.

Apply to the tag.  Finish by adding the rest of the elements.

Fill the box with candy and tie the tag to the box.

These would make fun Easter Treats for "Big" and "Little" kids!

Here is the set I used to make these cuties!

How Cute Is This?!?!

I LOOOOVE this kit from Peppermint Creative!! Well, I love all them, but you have to go and check this really adorable kit out!  Can you tell I'm really excited about this kit?

How fun is this for making hybrid crafts for baby showers, baby gifts, party favors, invites, "Thank You's", the list goes on and on.  It's not only great for hybrids (which of course, is my favorite) but it's PERFECT for all those "sleepy" baby pics (and "sleepy" parent pics too...hehe).

I love all the digital elements....the little bear, the plaid stars, the little cloud, the moon, the sheep...Oh man, did I say "I LOVE this kit"!?!   And the papers...the papers are so stinkin' cute.

Here are some of the projects that I have done with the Goodnight Sleep Tight digital kit.  I even made a scrapbook page!!

This is one of my favorites.  Tiny little boxes with cloud cut-outs!
I cut the boxes out with my Silhouette Cameo.  I did a "print and cut" with the little bear and cloud.

This embellishment was also done using the "print and cut" feature with my Silhouette.  You can see the same embellishment used as a tag below.

Punch a little whole in the top and hang it off your gift bag or wrap it around a cute blanket!

Isn't this card just adorable?  I used the welding tool in the Silhouette Studio Designer software to make this card.  (Tutorial to come soon.)

Not sure if you noticed, but I REALLY love the little bear and clouds.  New challenge to me...Use the other elements out of the kit!!  I'll have to come back and show you what I come up with.

Oh and I almost forgot, my scrapbook page!

Made by: Me :)

Happy Halloween!!

I know it's been a while.  Things have been crazy, I'm sure most of you can relate.  I have been doing some creating and wanted to share with you.  I made these cute treat tags and cards with the NEW digital Halloween kit from Peppermint Creative.  I really L O V E the new Funkin Pumpkin set.

I filled clear cellophane bags with candy and attached the tags I designed with black jute ribbon.  Now how cute are these?  The elements in the kit are so cute.  I couldn't resist making matching cards.

I designed these tags in Silhouette Studio design addition and cut them out with my handy dandy Silhouette Cameo.

For this tag, I used this really cute spider and the spider web paper for the background.

For this tag, I just simply used the Trick or Treat banner and layered it on the diagonal striped paper.

The Funkin Pumpkin set includes:
13 papers, 3 frames, 4 epoxy stickers, 4 flowers, 4 felt shapes, 2 confetti bursts, 1 branch, 2 lace edges, 2 arrros, 1 ribbon, 1 candy corn splatter, 1 scalloped edge, 2 wood signs, 1 flag edge, 1 fence, 1 felt flourish, 1 round frame, 1 pumpkin seed splatter, 2 pumpkins, 1 spider, 2 film frames, 1 string, 1 stick, 24 word art, 2 stickers, 1 alphabet set (a-z, 0-9 !? {} % ").

Below are the two cards that I also designed in the Silhouette Studio Design Edition using the same kit.

I made it look like a grave yard of pumpkins and layered one in the center with pop dots.

This card is simple, but I love the look of it.  The Trick or Treat banner is also layered with pop dots for dimension.

And last, but not least, a little treat box using one of the cutting files from the Silhouette on-line store.

Used the diagonal striped paper and The little "H is for Halloween" element from the kit.  Finished it off with a black ribbon.

Go to the shop and check out all the Halloween sets (and more).

Right now until October 31st, Halloween sets are on sale.

Another Strawberry Surprise...........

I'm on a roll with strawberries.  Strawberry icecream, strawberry short cake, strawberries dipped in chocolate (my favorite), etc.  I bought some last week and they were huge and sooooo sweet....yummy!  Time to get some more!

For this "Thank You" card, I wanted to show you how versital the Life in Pictures digital kits can be.  I used the LIP kit-Berry Sweet from Peppermint Creative.  Right now it's a FREE download on the Peppermint Creative Facebook page.  If you haven't been there lately, you should go here to check it out.  Miss Mint has added several new LIP kits.  If you are busy and on the go, this is the way to go.  They are perfect for the digital or hybrid scrapper.

I made these for my friend that lost everything in the tornado.  I'm going to give them to her with the Silhouette Portrait that some of you wonderful ladies donated to.  I can't thank you enough for your donations and prayers.  There is still ALOT to do, but they are on they're way to getting things in order.

I used my handy dandy silhouette cameo to design and to cut out the little strawberry for some dimension.  The base of the card was the 4x6 brown polka dot card that had the pink strip on it already.  The red "you are so berry sweet" was a embellishment already made in the kit.  I added "Thank you" and that is it!!

Used pop dots for some dimension.
